IMA AUTOMATION showcases MATRIX Project results at BI-REX Competence Center Event

IMA AUTOMATION is excited to announce its participation in an event at the BI-REX Competence Center on Wednesday, April 9, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, where the results of the MATRIX Project will be presented.
This groundbreaking initiative focuses on advancing robotic handling solutions for high-performance industrial applications, enhancing efficiency and precision through innovative motion planning and control techniques.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the technological developments achieved by the MATRIX Project, including:

• Motion planning and control for prehensile handling: ensuring precise manipulation of several cylindrical containers simultaneously by a single robot or of a single container by two robots.
• Non-prehensile manipulation techniques: developing solutions for handling containers placed on trays without direct grasping, enhancing flexibility and efficiency.
• Computationally-efficient sloshing models: improving control accuracy by optimizing algorithms that predict and mitigate fluid motion during rapid transport.

IMA AUTOMATION ROLE
IMA AUTOMATION has been involved as a partner in a feasibility study aimed at extending anti-sloshing algorithms to the production of hairpin-type electric motors.
This research seeks to counteract the oscillations caused by rapid handling systems, further broadening the scope of the project's technological impact.
