Electric and hybrid vehicles can lead to emissions reduction and to the conservation of the environment. The Company’s biggest investment ever is the acquisition of IMA AUTOMATION ATOP, an Italian excellence in manufacturing lines for the production of e-traction engines, supported by the latest acquisition of IMA AUTOMATION FASP that will complement the portfolio of high-tech solutions provided by the Group. The future of transports is electric and the Company is guiding the trends towards such innovation, thanks to its expertise and to the commitment to develop new e-mobility projects, which concern both machines production and the raise in people's awareness for sustainable mobility.
Bike to work is a local project that aims at discouraging the use of private transport, fostering the use of bike and other means of transportation that support the reduction of environmental impact. To this purpose, the Group has developed an app, which can monitor the road that workers travel by bike from home to work and vice versa. According to the project, IMA provides an economic incentive commensurate with the number of kilometers traveled by bike during the trip to reward such sustainable step forward.
The Group agreed upon the purchase of personal annual tickets for employees, which are totally paid by the Company and exclusively valid for the areas where its headquarters are located. The project aims at reducing the use of personal means of transportation, fostering public transport for emission reduction.
Aiming at a more "electric future", the Group installed free e-charging stations for electric and hybrid cars in its Italian plants. Each e-charging station has two charging points, which allow the management of two cars at the same time. This enables the employees to keep on charging their cars while they are at work, contributing to pollution and emission reduction.
