IMA EV-TECH is pleased to take part as a plenary speaker at EALA 2026, Automotive Circle’s 27th European Automotive Laser Applications Conference, with a joint presentation developed together with Politecnico di Milano, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The plenary presentation, titled “NIR/blue hybrid laser welding of Cu hairpins: system, process, and monitoring development”, presents the outcomes of a collaborative activity between academia and industry, combining scientific research with industrial system development.
The session focuses on hybrid NIR/blue laser welding for copper hairpins, addressing system architecture, process optimization and in-line monitoring solutions aimed at improving weld quality, process stability and production robustness in electric motor manufacturing.
Hairpin welding is a critical process in high-efficiency e-motor production and this contribution is designed to provide concrete technical insights.
