IMA AUTOMATION ATOP is pleased to invite you to the upcoming EUROPEAN AUTOMOTIVE LASER APPLICATIONS - EALA 2023, which will be held on February 7th - 8th in Bad Nauheim, Germany. In collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Politecnico of Milano, we’ll present the “Laser hairpin stripping and welding from process benchmarking to inline monitoring”. The focus of the presentation will be on the use of laser technology in the production of stators for electric motors. We will cover the advantages of this technology and in particular this work will present an in-depth analysis in laser hairpin stripping and laser hairpin welding solutions.

The contemporary electric drive is a crucial component of the electric vehicles, characterized by several permanent connections made by fusion welding. The quality and the robustness of the e-drive relies on the hairpin enamel stripping and welding processes performed by laser systems. In the presence of multiple number of laser system solutions, a comprehensive analysis of the available laser sources and monitoring systems from the perspective of the final production line configuration becomes essential.

The conference will feature other presentations and discussions on the latest technical advances and new application possibilities of lasers in all conceivable automotive production processes.
